Minecraft can be a confusing place to wonder around. When the sun goes down, the night terror begins. Many Minecraft players ask the question do villagers despawn especially at a certain distance? Or do they just simply die or disappear?

It is this kind of mystery that makes players keep coming back to explore Minecraft. In this blog, we will help you uncover whether villagers despawn in Minecraft.

Do villagers despawn?

In Minecraft, if there are no players around a 128-block radio, it is automatic that mobs will begin to despawn.

Some mobs have a special despawn timers, especially for those without a nametag.

Also,if there are no mobs around a player in a 32 block radios then there is about a 2.5% chance to despawn even second they are there.

However, there are some exemption to this depending on bugs (Bedrock edition). Technically, they would despawn on their own.

However, it is hard to keep them alive until you become really good at it. There are many reasons why villagers can do. For example, being starved to death, get struck by lightening, murdered by hostile and many more.

Here are few ways to prevents villagers to despawn in Minecraft :

1. Quarantineing villagers: How to quarantine villagers?

Villagers in Minecraft face the same fate as up to be kept in quarantine in order to stay alive. It can be dangerous for villagers in Minecraft to be left to wonder outside on their own.

They are best kept indoors so they can stay alive and do not despawn. And yes, many players go to the extreme of locking them inside without any doors.

2. Keep the place bright

Zombies scout in areas where the lighting in the area is below 7. So make the area well lit to prevent villagers from disappearing.

3. Keep them in a house

One way to ensure that villagers do not go missing is by ensuring that there are no openings to the sky in any of the house. If there are openings, the game will not see it as a house and this can invite mobs over. Hence, keep it all shut.

4. Keep villagers between a certain distance

If a villager is seen moving beyond 32 blocks from his original village, he will might be killed by mobs. He will be killed in six seconds if found wondering too far from his village. Thus, keep all your villagers in their village and do not allow them to wonder around too far away to avoid getting killed.

Can villagers Respawn?

Villagers that have already despawn cannot respawn. Just like human they cannot come back to life. Once they are gone there is no way of bringing them back.

If a village is seen to be suspiciously empty, just assume it could be due to a zombie attack.

However, it does not mean that the village is completely wiped out even though the inhabitants have disappeared.

There are a few things you can do to keep the village going, here are some of them:

1, Breed more villagers: How to breed more villagers?

You will a whole lot of villagers to create a new population of villagers. If you do not enough people to breed more villagers you can borrow people from another village.

When you borrow people from other villagers you are encouraging them to mate.

This is when Minecraft can become rather dark. One way of borrowing villagers is by kidnapping innocent people. Then lock them in the house and deprive them of their freedom.

Then comes the harder part where villagers must ‘want’ to breed. In order to do this you need to provide them with a comfortable free bed.

Also, food is essential to motivate them to breed. While all this may seem a little crazy, unfortunately this is how Minecraft works. It sometimes requires users to think outside the box when playing the game.

2. Cure the zombie

It is possible to cure a zombie villager from its affliction. You will a Splash Potion of Weakness, Arrow of Weakness or Lingering Potion of Wealness with one Golden apple.

Firstly, you need to get the zombie to a spot where it is protected from sun light. Once it is cured from mobs, give it the weakness potion or you can shoot them with an arrow and feed them the golden apple.

When you see the zombie shaking, they are basically being cured.

Wait for about 5 minutes and they will then turn into human who is ready to go after baby

Villagers as part of their curing process.

Don’t forget to think about how you will transport them back to the village. One way to do this is to kidnap a villager then shot him with a poison arrow. Then force him to copulate.

Do villagers really despawn without beds?

Villagers have no where to go if you break their bed. They tend to panic at night and die due to a zombie attack. Villagers don’t breed unless there is an open bed.

It could be that they ducked out through the non-transparent blicks and wondered away. Or else a zombie or other creepers killed them.
